Dudley Wines Kangaroo Island wins Silver at the 2018 Tourism Awards

Family owned small business, Dudley Wines of Kangaroo Island won Silver in their category for Best Tourism Wineries Distilleries and Breweries at the South Australia Tourism Awards 2018.

After winning Gold in the same category last year, the team at Dudley Wines are extremely proud of their Silver this year, as competition in the category was as tough as ever. “Seppeltsfield Estate were very deserving winners this year, it’s an amazing place to visit,” said Tam Bailey of Dudley Wines who attended the Awards Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre last Friday night with her sister Kasha and Sister-in-law Kate. “We were also up against the D’Arenberg Cube and a number of other fantastic Cellar Doors around the State, which is a real honour,” she continued.

“Tourism on our unique island is growing all the time, and for Dudley to be recognised at a state level is a great achievement,” said Jeff Howard, the patriarch and family member with the original vision of creating a high-quality Kangaroo Island cellar door tourism experience. “We have plans to continue to improve the experiences offered at our Cellar Door in the years to come.”

The Howard family would like to sincerely thank their staff for the amazing job they are doing and to the SATIC for holding this important event for tourism in our State. A big congratulations to fellow Kangaroo Island Tourism business ‘Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari’ who won gold in their category.

So make sure Dudley’s award winning cellar door is a “must visit” destination on your next trip to the jewel of SA…….Kangaroo Island.
