About the association

No-one has a greater desire to create opportunities for the island’s produce, its producers and local businesses. We advocate for and promote our members, creating vital networks and pathways to connect your business and all it offers to the world.

Promoting and supporting the food and beverage businesses on the island are our priorities.

We ensure our members’ voices are heard at all levels of government; we build our member businesses through increasing awareness, training and strategic partnerships.

The Association works with other industry bodies to protect the Kangaroo Island brand so that your customers can rely on the authenticity of the product and you can protect your hard work and product integrity.

We promote initiatives that support the highest quality and encourage sustainable production which respects our natural environment.

The Kangaroo Island Food and Wine Association was formed in 2012 from the merger of previous food and wine industry bodies. We are managed by a board representing a spectrum of the membership, which ranges from large commercial producers, to boutique makers, hotels, restaurants, cafes and wineries.
